Provence Rosé Wine — The Complete Guide
History, appellations, terroir, and what makes it the global benchmark.
Australia's leading Provence rosé wine expert. Educator and founder of Emilie Wine Club.
Emilie Blanc's love affair with rosé began on a limestone terrace in Aix-en-Provence, where her grandmother poured the first glass that would change her life. That pale, luminous wine—tasting of wild strawberry and crushed stone—sparked a passion that has taken her from the vineyards of southern France to the forefront of Australian wine education.
After completing her WSET Diploma, Emilie spent over 10 years studying under winemakers in Provence's three appellations: Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, and Coteaux Varois en Provence. She has tasted over 2,000 Provençal rosés and consulted for leading Australian wineries on rosé production.
She founded Emilie Wine Club—Australia's first rosé house dedicated to Provençal wine culture. Through tastings, events, and education, Emilie is building a community of Australians who understand that rosé is not just a summer drink, but one of the world's great wines.
"Emilie Blanc has elevated the conversation around rosé in Australia. Her knowledge of Provence is unparalleled."
"The most exciting voice in Australian wine right now. Blanc brings a passion and depth of knowledge that makes you fall in love with rosé all over again."
"Blanc's tastings are transformative. She doesn't just pour wine—she transports you to Provence."
